David P. Davis, 72 years of age, of Lake Worth, FL and Simsbury, CT died Thursday, July 6, 2017 after a courageous battle with Leukemia. Born in Middletown, CT, he was the son of the late Harold and Ruth (Zlokower) Davis. He was the president and owner of Mam’selle clothing store. David was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend.
He leaves his wife, Bonnie (Eisner) Davis; his daughters, Jennifer Lehman and her husband Marc of Simsbury, CT, Kimberly Wolf and her husband Lou of Needham, MA, and Rebecca Mateicka and her husband Bob of Tinton Falls, NJ; his sisters, Debby Silver and her husband Leonard of Boynton Beach, FL, and Rochelle Mandelbaum of Hollywood, FL; and seven grandchildren, Alyssa and Harrison Lehman, Madison, Griffin and Alexis Mateicka, Makenzie and Anabelle Wolf. The family would like to thank the staff of CB2 and B11I at Hartford Hospital for their amazing care and support.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Sunday, July 9, 2017 in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford, CT with Rabbi Rebekah Goldman Mag officiating. Interment will follow in the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, Wolcott Rd., East Granby. Following the interment the family will receive relatives and friends at the home of his daughter Jennifer Lehman, and on Monday and Tuesday at his home in Simsbury from 1-4 PM and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
