Corinne (Lefkowitz Karp) Siegel

Corinne (Lefkowitz) Karp Siegel, 85, of Plantsville, widow of George Karp, passed away September 26, 2009. Born in Hartford, Corinne was the daughter of Samuel and Gertrude (Hoffman) Lefkowitz. She graduated from Weaver High School in 1941. She lived in Hartford, Plainville and for the last five years at the Summitt in Plantsville. She is survived by her children: Mark and Valarie Karp, Lynn Derosier, Gail and Rick Shapiro and Phil Siegel. Grandchildren: Marlene, Gary, Jody, Staci, Dawn, and Jeremy. She also left 11 great grandchildren. She left her sister Sylvia Dorfman and brothers Joel and Herman Lefkowitz and long-time companion John Calver. She was predeceased by great grandson Jason. The family would like to thank the staff of the Summitt for the outstanding care they provided to her. Funeral services will be graveside Sept. 29 (TODAY) at 9:30 a.m. at Beth Hillel Cemetery in East Granby.
