Charlotte A. Farber

Sadly we mourn the passing of Charlotte A. Farber of Aventura, FL formerly of Hamden, CT and Ocean City, NJ. Born October 5, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Lillian and Saul Stone.Born in Brooklyn, NY she grew up in Miami Beach, FL, moving back to Florida after the passing of her husband, Burton in 2000. She was lucky to have many great friends in all the places she lived. She also loved her many cousins who were wonderful in keeping in touch and visiting when able. She and Burt raised their 5 children in Hamden, then enjoyed retirement in Ocean City and Aventura. Charlotte enjoyed traveling and was lucky to experience many places around the world. As those who knew her, she also loved her casino time and mahjong games.

She is survived by her children, Stuart and Donna Farber of Westport, CT, Beth Farber and Mitchell Shakun of Bloomfield, CT, Michael and Jacqueline Farber of Northford, CT, Amy Farber of Branford, CT and Sharon and Jack Neubieser of Southington, CT, her grandchildren, Danielle Farber and Jeff MacDonald, Arielle Farber and Art Cady, Whitney Farber and Eric Spangler,Jeremy, Max and Lily Shakun, Tyler and Brenner McKinley, Ryan and Jared Gallagher, and great grandchildren, Grant and Sloane Cady and Wesley MacDonald. She was predeceased by her husband Burton, son Ronald, sister Iris, brother Lewis “Buzz” and many cherished friends.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 11 at noon at Beth El Cemetery, 51Jackson Street, Avon, CT followed by lunch at Tumble Brook Country Club in Bloomfield. Shiva will be Wednesday evening from 5 to 9 at Beth and Mitchell's home, 287 Castlewood Drive,Bloomfield, CT.
