Charles (H.) Press

Charles H. Press of Harvest Lane, West Hartford, husband of the late Barbara Rosenthal Press, died Monday, February 8, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by two sons: Bruce Press and his wife Julie of Ellicott City, MD, and Matthew Rosenthal and his wife Christine of Old Saybrook; five daughters: Judith Press Ascioti of Springfield, MA, Alyssa Miranda and her husband Enrique of Mission, TX, Melissa Rosenthal Somosky of Glastonbury, Dr. Martha Rosenthal and her partner Debra Lewis of Ft. Myers, FL, and Amy Rosenthal and her husband Jonathan Den Haring of Harrisburg, PA; a brother-in-law Abraham Gordon; a sister-in-law Beth Derby; and nine grandchildren. Funeral funeral services will be Friday, February 12, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with interment in Congregation Rodeph Sholom Memorial Park, Fairfield. A memorial period will be observed Friday at his home following the interment. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill 06067.
