Burton A. Levy, 86 years of age, of West Hartford, CT died Saturday, May 18, 2013. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Louis and Ida Levy. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Burton graduated from the University of Connecticut and received a Masters Degree from Trinity College. He was an analytical engineer with United Technologies, and was a member of the Emanuel Synagogue in West Hartford. He leaves his wife, Faith (Shapiro) Levy; his daughters, Lisa Levy and her husband David Patin of Austin, TX, and Jill Grand and her husband Philip of Hillsborough, NJ; two grandchildren, Erin and Linda Grand; and sister-in-law Nancy Berman. He was an avid tennis and bridge player and became a Bronze Life Master in Bridge. The family would like to thank Drs. Ronald Szabo, Steven Cohen and Steven Ruby for the care they provided to Burt. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford, with Rabbi David J. Small officiating. Interment will follow in Beth Israel Cemetery, Hartford. Following the funeral services friends and family are invited back to the home of Faith Levy in West Hartford CT.
