Blanche (Aronowitz) Sherman

Blanche (Aronowitz) Sherman, 87, of Steele Road, West Hartford, widow of Philip Sherman, died Thursday, March 19, 2009. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Aaron and Dora (Rosenblum) Aronowitz. She was a member of Beth El Temple, West Hartford. She leaves a son: Lawrence Sherman and his wife Laura Farmer of San Diego, CA; a daughter: Anita Cohen and her husband Tsion of West Hartford; her companion: Benjamin Kostin; six grandchildren: Daniel Cohen and his wife Tzipora, Michal Abehsera and her husband Moshe, Naomi Moss and her husband Noah, Nathaniel Cohen, Elena Sherman and Valorie Sherman; and six great granchildren. Funeral services will be held TODAY, Friday, March 20, 2009 at 12:00 Noon in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford, with Rabbi James Rosen officiating. Interment will follow in the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, East Granby. Shiva will be observed at the home of her daughter in West Hartford.
