Beverly (Rotmer) Saffir, 79, of Wellington, FL, formerly of West Hartford, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2013. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Bessie (Bello) Rotmer. In addition to her devoted and beloved husband, Len, of more than 58 years, Beverly is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Herbert Mendelsohn, her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Julie Saffir, and her grandchildren, whom she cherished and adored; Jaimee Newman and her husband, Matt, Lauren Zuboff and her fiancé, Peter Sharkey, Gregory Zuboff, Robin Saffir and Alex Mendelsohn. Beverly is also survived by and enjoyed a special relationship with her sister Sandra Rubin and companion Morris Lazar and her brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Lorraine Rotmer, many nieces, nephews and her life-long and caring friends. The family would like to thank Karen Mogbo, her caretaker and friend, and our angel. Karen not only brought comfort and peace to Beverly but to her family as well. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 31 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford. Interment will follow at the Emanuel Cemetery in Wethersfield. Shiva will be observed at the home of Ken and Julie Saffir, 3 Stillwood Chase, Weatogue, following the interment and continuing on Friday, February 1 from 3:00pm to sunset.
