Beverly (Miskin) Herzfeld, widow of Harry Herzfeld Jr. died September 11, 2008 at Hartford Hospital with her son and daughter at her side. Beverly was born October 10, 1920 and spent her early years in Windsor and Hartford, graduating from Hartford High School in 1938. She also lived in Bloomfield and Newington and resided at Kimberly Hall in Windsor for the last twelve years. Beverly met the love of her life, Harry, at a USO dance and were happily married until Harry?s death in 1967. Beverly worked for many years in the insurance industry, entering the workplace after her children entered secondary school. Her love for her family, her kindness and generosity, her spirit for life and her love of her books and reading mysteries will be remembered by all who knew her. She leaves her daughter, Henriette Herzfeld of West Hartford, her son and daughter-in-law, William and Michele Herzfeld of Windsor, her beloved grandchildren Amy Healy and her husband Jason, Brian Sprengelmeyer, Jason Herzfeld, and the light of her life, her great grandson, Seth Healy. She also leaves her sister, Charlotte Miskin, her brother Abraham Miskin, and her dear friends, the Crescimanno Family. The family would like to thank the staff at Kimberly Hall North and the Cardiac Wing and ER of Hartford Hospital for their excellent and compassionate care. The funeral will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Andrea Cohen Kiener officiating. Interment will follow in the Beth Israel Cemetery, Hartford. A memorial period will be observed at the home of her daughter, Henriette, 43 Crescent St., West Hartford Sunday and Monday 7-9 PM with services at 8:00 PM; then on Tuesday, September 16 at the home of her son, Bill, 1031 Windsor Ave., Windsor from 7-9 PM with services at 8:00 PM.
