Betty (Korduner) Shuch, 87, of Brightview Dr., West Hartford, widow of Morris Shuch, died Tuesday, September 26th, 2006. Born in Wladzimierz, Poland, she was the daughter of the late Avraham and Ethel (Cypiel) Korduner. She was a Holocaust Survivor, a member of United Synagogues of Greater Hartford, a life member of Hadassah, and Pioneer Women, and a committed volunteer at the Hebrew Academy. Betty, a woman of great strength and courage, was known and loved as “Bubby” to so many. She is survived by her children: Jean and David Federman of Bloomfield; Alan Shuch of New York, NY; Sharon and Michael Asip of Glen Cove, NY; grandchildren: Eric and Amy Federman, Brian Federman, Kimberly and Jason DiBella, Mindy Shuch, Katie Shuch, Jennifer Shuch, Melissa Asip and Emily Asip; two great grandchildren, Jacob Federman and Samuel Federman; three sisters: Stella Klein, Sylvia Korduner and her husband Peter, and Raye Kramer, all of West Hartford; a sister-in-law Sylvia Goldfarb of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Mania Shuch, and a son, Frank Shuch. Funeral services will be held TODAY, Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 1:30 PM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Daniel Cohen and Rabbi Edward Cohen officiating. Interment will follow in the United Synagogues of Greater Hartford Memorial Park, Wethersfield. A memorial period will be observed at the home of Jean and David Federman, 5 Wyeth Dr., Bloomfield, following the funeral through Friday afternoon.
