Betsy G. Kaufman, 89, of West Hartford passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 24, 2025. She is survived by her loving sons, Andrew Shefrin and his wife Mary Lou of East Windsor. CT and Gregory Shefrin and his wife Nancy of New York, NY. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Katie Murphy and her husband John, CJ Shefrin and his significant other Christine of East Windsor CT, Zachary Shefrin and his wife Becca of New York NY, Charlie Shefrin and Sam Shefrin also from New York City; she had 6 great-grandchildren: Paige, Jack and Henry Murphy, Duke and Cooper Shefrin and Alyz Dattilio. She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Roberta Kaufman and Arlene Kaufman. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Stuart and Larry Kaufman and her best friend Edith Baskin. 

Betsy was born in Hartford, CT daughter of the late Herman and Faye (Adoff) Kaufman. She graduated from Hall High School in West Hartford, CT before attending and graduating from Endicott College where she earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration. She worked many years at the law firm of Levy & Droney in Farmington until her retirement. Betsy loved spending time with friends and family and will be greatly missed by all. 

Graveside services will be on Monday, July 28th at 11:00 am in Fairview Cemetery, 200 Whitman Avenue in West Hartford CT. In lieu of flowers donations in Betsy’s memory can be made to the Warehouse Point Fire Department, 89 Bridge Street, Warehouse Point, CT 06088.
