Beth Friedman

Beth (Golemba) Friedman, 72, of West Hartford passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 6, 2005. Beth graduated from the Bronx High School of Science and the University of Connecticut. Upon graduation she taught physical education at Hall High School in West Hartford. Beth, a passionate Yankees and UConn basketball fan, enjoyed making needle point pillows, playing cards with her friends, taking periodic trips to the casinos and most of all, spending time with her family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Alvin, her adoring daughters Amy and Tina, son-in-laws Joseph and Hal, grandchildren Emily, Alexander, Alana and Jennifer, and her sister Joan. Funeral services will be held TODAY, Thursday, December 8th at 10:30 am in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford, with interment in Piaterer Verein Society Cemetery, Jordan Lane Extension, Wethersfield. The family will receive relatives and friends at her home on Thursday after the services and on Friday from 1:00-4:00pm.
