Bernice (Parade) Pattison, 82, of Starkle Rd, West Hartford, died Tuesday, (February 27, 2007) in Trumbull with her family by her side. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Rae (Giber) Parade as well as the wife of over 40 years to the late Morris Pattison. She was a graduate of Weaver High School in Hartford. She worked for the Travelers Insurance Company for over 35 years, retiring in 1982 and continued working at The Hartford Jewish Community Daycare Center. She was a member of the former Teferes Israel Synagogue. She was an active member of many organizations and clubs including Jewish Women’s International. She leaves two sons: Stuart T. Pattison and his wife Debra of Trumbull, and Jeffrey B. Pattison and his wife Dr. Cynthia Gilbert-Pattison of Tenafly, N.J.; four grandchildren: Shayna, David, Alexander and Mara Pattison; and a brother, Emanual Parade of Hallendale, FL. Funeral services will be held TODAY, Thursday, March 1, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford, with Rabbi Sanford Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Teferes Israel Cemetery, East Granby. A memorial period will be held Thursday following the funeral at the home of Jacob Fagin at 11 Carlyle Rd, West Hartford; Friday from 11-1 p.m. at 2 Starkle Rd; Sunday evening, 41 Valley View Road, Trumbull; and Monday, 11 Country Club Road, Tenafly NJ.
