Beatrice (Goldberg) Cohn, 92, of West Hartford, formerly of Avon and New Britain, died Monday (January 2, 2006). She was the beloved wife of the late David Goldberg. She leaves her children Barbara and Marc Stahl, Mark and Elinor Goldberg, Bruce and Sandra Goldberg, Henry and Rochelle Baran. She also leaves her grandchildren Elizabeth Stahl and Steve Emerson, Deborah and Roger Needle, Roberta and Donald Hutcher, Dana and Louis Haberman, David and Adrienne Goldberg, Jeffrey and Rebecca Goldberg, Lori and Darrin Gleeman, Michael and Jill Baran, Kevin and Robin Baran, Corri and John Cottingham; thirteen great-grandchildren; and her sister, Leah Wiener of Bloomfield. Bea was born in Hartford and graduated from Weaver High School and Central Connecticut College. She had a successful career as a teacher and, following her husband’s death, was the respected owner of the Royal Liquor Stores. For over 20 years she wintered in Delray Beach, FL. She was the proud and dignified matriarch of her family and gained the admiration of all who knew her. The funeral will be Thursday, at 1 p.m. at Weinstein Mortuary, 604 Farmington Avenue, Hartford. Shiva will be observed through Sunday at the home of Bruce and Sandra Goldberg, 79 Brainard Road, West Hartford.
