Beatrice “Bea” Clayman, 93, of West Hartford, widow of Alfred Clayman, died on Sunday, December 4, 2005 at St. Francis Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Mansfield, MA on November 22, 1912 to the late Abraham and Rose (Procoske) Michaels. Mrs. Clayman retired from Casual Corner where she was employed for 25 years as a Sales Associate. She loved to play golf, did so for many years, and was a member of the Hole in One Club. She had a passion for dancing which she continued on a regular basis. She took up sculpting as a hobby and adorned her home with many of her creations. She always maintained a youthful outlook and was active and vivacious throughout her entire life. She is survived by her son Martin A. Clayman and his wife Lorry of West Hartford, and her daughter Joyce C. Cohen of Bloomfield. She is also survived by her sister Esther Appleberg; her grandchildren: Suzy Glantz and her husband Stan, Lisa Sheptin and her husband Alan, Mike Cohen, and Ross Cohen and his wife Randa; four great grandchildren: Andrew and Spencer Glantz and Jessica and Zachary Sheptin; loving nieces and nephews; and her dear friend Harold Feigenbaum. A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at 11:30 AM in the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, Wolcott Road, East Granby, with Rabbi Stephen Fuchs officiating. A Memorial Period will be observed at the home of her daughter, 7 Stratford Park, Bloomfield, Wednesday from 7:00 - 9:00 PM.
