Barbara (Castle Cohan) Robin

Barbara C. (Cohan) Robin, 88 years of age, of Hartford, formerly of New Haven, died Saturday, December 11, 2010. She was predeceased by husbands, Allen M. Robin and Arnold Cobden. Born in Brookline, MA, she was the daughter of the late George and Helen (Castle) Cohan. Barbara was Director of Volunteer Services at Brookview Health Care in West Hartford. Throughout her life, she was active in volunteer organizations including March of Dimes, City of Hope, The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and MADD. She leaves her children, Steven Robin and his wife Beth (Goldschlager) Robin of West Hartford, Denise Castle Robin of Chandler, AZ, and Amy Hoffman of Carbondale, CO; her grandchildren, Benjamin Robin, Marissa (Robin) Lammlin and her husband David, Sara (Kotler) Pinson and her husband Ryan, Kristen Kotler, Michael S. Hoffman, and Adam Hoffman; and her great-grandchildren, Sophia and Olivia Hoffman. Funeral services will be held TODAY, December 14, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Fairview Cemetery, 200 Whitman Ave., West Hartford. The family will observe a private period of mourning.
