Arnold (R.) Fischer

FISCHER, Arnold R. Fischer, 84 years of age, of Bloomfield, died Saturday, November 13, 2010. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Frank and Sarah (Frager) Fischer. Arnold was a US Navy veteran of World War II. He worked for the US Postal Service until he retired. He leaves his wife, Shirley (DeSio) Fischer; his son, Michael S. Fischer and his wife Shelley of Simsbury; his daughters, Lenore T. Gray and her husband Quinton C. Gray of Bloomfield, and Robin N. Leete and her husband William H. Leete of Naples, FL; and his grandchildren, Daniel E. Gray, Jennifer and Zachary Leete, Eric, Jared and Corey Fischer. Private funeral services will be held Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, Wolcott Rd., East Granby. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill 06067-3045 or to the Hebrew Home & Hospital, 1 Abrahms Blvd., West Hartford 06117.
