Annabelle "Belle" (Cohen) Lustig

Annabelle Cohen Lustig “Belle” of West Hartford, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 18, 2009. Born in New Britain on April 7, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Rose (Haber) Cohen. She is survived by her husband, Irwin Alexander, children: Stephen (Anna), Richard (Ellen), Marc (Flor); grandchildren: Caryn, Dara, Stacey, Ethan Lustig; Ashby and Aimee. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Sidney Cohen. Belle was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and will be missed by all. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 1:30 PM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Gary Atkins officiating. Interment is private. A memorial period will be observed on Thursday, 4-8 p.m. at her home, 19 Carlyle Rd., West Hartford. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Belle may be made to Beth Hillel Synagogue, 160 Wintonbury Ave., Bloomfield 06002.
