Ann ((Anopolsky)) Bregman

Ann (Anopolsky) Bregman, 96 years of age, of Lake Alfred, FL formerly of Hartford, West Hartford and Bloomfield, CT passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 9, 2017. Born in Hartford, CT, she was the daughter of the late Isadore and Dora (Gold) Anopolsky. Ann was predeceased by her beloved husband of 40 years, Israel Bregman.

Ann spent her childhood in Philadelphia with her older brother, Sam, and younger sister Sylvia, and returned to Hartford where she met and married Israel in 1945. Ann was active in her synagogue, Beth Shalom, and spent her summers at Old Colony Beach. After she raised her family she worked at Fox’s and Filene’s department stores in downtown Hartford in the better dresses department. After she retired, Ann wintered in Boca Raton, FL for over 20 years before moving back full time to Bloomfield, CT. She was an active Maj Jongg player, and loved to play bingo and the slots.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Sandra Callahan and her husband, Pat, of Lake Alfred, FL; her son, Howard Bregman and his wife Kim, of Delray Beach, FL; her six grandchildren, Jason Wojick and his wife Denise, Jodi Gerstenhaber and her husband, Jason; Stephanie Bregman , Adam Bregman and his wife Karen, Matthew Bregman, and Joshua Bregman.; her seven great grandchildren, Kyle Firlik , Haley, Chandler and Conner Wojick, Nicole Bregman, Emmie and Ellie Gerstenhaber, and Navi Ming Lai Bregman. In addition to her husband and parents, Ann was predeceased by her son, Neal Bregman.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, 96 Wolcott Road, East Granby, CT with Rabbi Philip Lazowski officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends at noon at The Emmanuel Synagogue, 160 Mohegan Dr., West Hartford, CT.
