Alfred Sherman

Alfred “Al” Sherman, 89, of West Hartford died Wednesday, (November 28, 2007) in Hartford Hospital. Al was a passionate VNA Hospice volunteer and advocate for many years, most recently in Hartford Hospital. He was pre-deceased by his wife of 44 yrs, Ethel. He leaves his daughter, Katherine Travers and her husband, Peter; their daughter, Erica Travers Martell and her husband, Greg; his son, Larry Sherman and his wife, Jan; and their children, Cory and Charley. He also leaves his sister Sophie Diamond and many nieces and nephews.There will be a graveside service at Wolkowysker Society Cemetery, corner of Tower & Garden Sts, Hartford, 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30th. Weinstein Mortuary is in care of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to VNA Health Care, 103 Woodland St., Hartford, CT 06105.
