Alfred (Harold) Galin

Alfred H. Galin, age 89 of West Hartford, CT and Delray Beach, FL died peacefully at Hartford Hospital on July 12, 2017. Born on September 4, 1927, he was a loving son to Isadore and Rebecca (Lieberman) Galin. Al was predeceased by his best friends and brothers, Arthur, Julius and Ronald.

When Al returned from the war (WWII) he was introduced to the love of his life, his wife and life partner, Gloria Sigal while sitting at the counter at Maxwell Drugs having a milkshake and fries, and they were inseperable ever since. On September 7th, they would have celebrated 70 years of marriage.

Al had an enormous love of country and served in the Atlantic and South Pacific on a destroyer escort named USS Stockdale as its radar and sonar man. He was so proud to be a member of “the greatest generation"€
