KLEIMAN, Dr. Albert Kleiman, age 90, of West Hartford and Hartford, CT, died on October 10, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. He was born September 5, 1919 in Hartford, CT to the late Louis and Esther Kleiman. Albert was educated at Weaver High School, University of Connecticut, and Tufts Dental School. He was as a dental officer with the US Navy in WWII, where he served in the Pacific theater. He was active in community affairs in West Hartford and was a Town Councilman and president of the Chamber of Commerce, as well as being a member of the Toppers Club. He was also committed to helping others, volunteering his dental skills weekly at the free clinic in Hartford and at Avery Nursing Home. He was a life-long member of Congregation Beth Israel of West Hartford, CT. Albert leaves behind his loving wife, Ruth (Goodman) Kleiman, of Avon, CT; two sons, Richard, and his wife, Harlene, of Springfield, MA, and Theodore, and his wife, Linda, of Fargo, ND; his sister, Fay (Kleiman) Poles; and four grandchildren, T?ann, Sarah, Alexis, and Kent. He was predeceased by his son, Mark, and his sister, Beatrice. Funeral services will be held TODAY, Monday, October 12, 2009 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford, CT followed by interment in the Beth Israel Cemetery, Hartford, CT. Shiva will be observed at Richard Kleiman?s home, 216 Shawmut St, Springfield, MA, 7-8:30 Monday and Tuesday evening.
