Albert William Greenspoon, 87, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025. He was born in Newark, NJ, on September 15, 1938 to Louis Greenspoon and Nettie Lechter Greenspoon. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Judy Redlus Greenspoon, and his children: Lauren Greenspoon and her daughter, Talia, and David and Jennifer Greenspoon and their children, Max and Bella.Al grew up in Hillside, NJ and worked for Pratt & Whitney for 33 years before retiring in 1994. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University in 1960 and his M.S. in Management from RPI in 1990. Al was also a leader and active member of Beth El Temple, serving as Men’s Club President and in various board positions over more than 40 years. He was a member of the Pratt & Whitney Old Timers Club and Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity.Al was an eternal optimist, always able to find the silver lining in any situation. He enjoyed the symphony and the theater. He could fix pretty much anything, no matter the state of disrepair and was enthusiastic about all things electronic. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. Most of all, Al was the best, most loving and supportive husband and dad, and a devoted Grandpa and Papa to his three beloved grandchildren.The funeral will be held at Beth El Temple in West Hartford on Monday, September 22nd at 11:00 am. The family will be sitting shiv‘ah at Lauren’s home in West Hartford, CT on Thursday, September 25th, from 3:00-8:00 pm; and on Saturday, September 27th from 6:00-9:00pm and Sunday, September 28th, from 12:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm at Dave and Jen’s home in Dobbs Ferry, NY.In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Beth El Temple. https://www.bethelwesthartford.org/payment.php?donation_type_id=5814618
