Alan (M.) Jacobson

Jacobson, Alan M. Jacobson, 59 of Richmond Lane, West Hartford, died Friday, (July 11, 2008) at Hartford Hospital. Born in Charleston, WV, he was the son of Bernard Jacobosn of Aventura, FL and the late Muriel (Israel) Jacobson. Alan was a sales representative for Pfizer Pharmaceutical. Besides his father he leaves his beloved wife, Sharon (Lefkin) Jacobson; his son, Adam Jacobson of Anchorage, Ak; his daughters, Sara I. Jacobson of Miami, FL, and Kate R. Jacobson of West Hartford and her fiance Graham Kobs; his sister, Judy Smothers and her husband Phillip of Laurel, MD; his mother-in-law, Joan Lefkin of West Hartford;and his brothers-in-law, Attorney Peter A. Lefkin of Washington, DC, and Michael G. Lefkin and his wife Susan of Guilford. He also leaves his other children’, Lee, MJ, John and Jeremy; five nieces and nephews; four great nephews and great nieces. He was predeceased by his brother, Eric Jacobson. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 14 at 10 am in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford. A memorial period will be observed at his home Monday following the funeral through Tuesday evening, July 15th. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
