Adrienne (Kalvin) Cohen

COHEN, Adrienne K. Adrienne K. Cohen, 60, of Simsbury, died peacefully on Saturday, (February 26, 2011) surrounded by love. Adrienne leaves her devoted husband of 35 years, Mark, her four cherished children, Jared, Ali, Ian and Max, and daughter-in-law Lisa. She also leaves behind her loving parents, Raymond and Rayna Kalvan, in-laws Samuel and Ida Cohen, and a large circle of close family and dear friends. The family wishes to give a special thanks to her amazing oncologist, Dr. Patrica DeFusco, for her devotion and for giving us 13 “extra” years together. Rabbi Howard Herman will officiate funeral services on Wednesday, March 2, 1:30 p.m. at her second home, Farmington Valley Jewish Congregation/ Emek Shalom, 55 Bushy Hill Road, Simsbury CT. Interment will follow at FVJC Memorial Park, Mountain View Ave., Avon. A memorial period will be observed at Mark and Adrienne’s home on Wednesday and Thursday from 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made payable to THE ADRIENNE COHEN ISRAEL FUND and sent to Farmington Valley Jewish Congregation.
