Adele (Skaletsky ?Kale?) Siegal, 84, a life long Hartford resident, died Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at the Hebrew Home & Hospital in West Hartford. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Max and Pauline (Mankin) Skaletsky. She was a life member of Beth El Temple and Sisterhood, West Hartford, B?nai Brith, ORT, and Hadassah. Mrs. Siegal supported and contributed to the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford, the Jewish Community Center of Greater Hartford, as well as the Wallenberg Society of the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford. Her passion for life and dedication to family and friends will be truly missed. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Siegal in 2005 after 61 years of marriage. Mr. Siegal was the founder of Edart Truck Rental in Hartford, along with his brother Edward Siegal and their father Louis Siegal in 1934. She was the beloved mother of Barbara Berlin and her husband Harvey of Bryn Mawr, PA, and Marlene Schlosser and her husband Edward of Setauket, LI, NY; and Richard Siegal of Edwards, CO. She was the adored and adoring grandmother of six grandchildren: Marissa and Eric Berlin, Jeremy and Meredith Schlosser, and Erin and Amanda Siegal. Also mourning her loss is her sister-in-law, Faye DuBrow of San Antonio, TX, formerly of Hartford. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Leonard Skaletsky. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 7, 2007 at 10:30 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford, with Rabbi James Rosen officiating. Interment will follow in the Beth El Temple Cemetery, Avon. A memorial period will be observed at the home of Coleman & Judie Levy, 22 Avondale Rd., West Hartford on Friday following the funeral until sundown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beth El Temple, 2626 Albany Ave., West Hartford 06117.
