Abraham Levine

Abraham Levine, 98, of West Hartford, died Monday, March 23, 2009 after a short illness. He was the beloved husband of Ruth (Brody) Levine with whom he had 65 years of marriage. Born in Lowell, MA, he was the son of the late Sam and Rose (Cooper) Levine. Abe worked in manufacturing for over 40 years before retiring in Lowell, MA. He was predeceased by his brothers Max and Silas and his cherished daughter Marilyn Satran and his grandson-in-law, Brian Crisileo. Abe moved to Chatfield Retirement Community with his wife in 2004. He leaves behind his son and daughter-in-law Robert and Carolyn Levine of West Hartford, and his son-in-law, Neal Satran of Orleans, Cape Cod. He was the loving grandfather of Deborah and Andrew Kursman of West Hartford, Michael and Susan Levine of Rhode Island, Douglas Satran of Foxboro, MA and Jennifer Crisileo of Franklin, MA; great grandfather to Josh, Sam and Danielle Kursman of West Hartford, Benjamin Levine of Rhode Island, and Jessica and Jacob Crisileo of Foxboro, MA. A graveside funeral service will be held TODAY, Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 12:00 Noon in the Montefiore Cemetery, Pelham, NH, and a memorial period will be observed this evening at the residence of Bob and Carolyn Levine, 36 Richmond Lane, West Hartford. Memorial contributions may be made to either the American Cancer Society, 538 Preston Ave., PO Box 1004, Meriden 06450, the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Dr., PO Box 5022, Wallingford 06492, or the Hebrew Home and Hospital, 1 Abrahms Blvd., West Hartford 06117.
