A. (Howard) Kaplan

A. Howard Kaplan of Avonwood Road, Avon, formerly of West Hartford, died Saturday, September 17, 2005. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Frank and Hilda (Leshin) Kaplan. He was a graduate of Connecticut State College, now known as the University of Connecticut and he was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was a home builder before he retired. He leaves a sister, Evelyn K. Weinstein and her husband Paul H. Weinstein of Boynton Beach, FL and Bloomfield; a nephew, three nieces, and several cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Rosalie (Neistat) Kaplan; by his son, Richard M. Kaplan; and by his brother, General Milton E. Kaplan. Funeral services and interment were private. Arrangements entrusted to Weinstein Mortuary, Hartford.
