A. Gertrude (Krieger) Kaizer

A. Gertrude Kaizer: She left this world on September 22, 2010 to spend eternity with her beloved Murray. Born September 11, 1920 in Brooklyn N.Y. to Joseph and Tillie Kreiger, she married Murray on June 15, 1941 and they began their life long journey together. They relocated from New York to Hartford to pursue better employment opportunities. In 1948, they again relocated to Bristol and started their own business, Murray Kaizer Inc. Murray was the driving technical force for the new enterprise and Gert was the accounting executive. In semi-retirement, Gert and Murray enjoyed traveling between their homes in Bristol and Goshen, CT and Delray Beach, Florida. Family and Jewish life were the central focus of Gert’s entire life. She leaves to mourn her loss, daughter Marvis and Robert Gersten, daughter-in-law Arlene Perer Kaizer and son Jerry and Geraldine Kaizer. Eight grandchildren: Joseph and Beth Gersten, Gilah Gersten and Bryan Dooner, Ellen and Mark Grishman, David and Rebecca Kaizer, Karen, Hannah, Emily, and Sarah Kaizer and one dear great-grandchild Madeline Paige Kaizer. She also leaves her sister Rosalind Reiter of Florida and two devoted nephews, who were like sons to her, Stuart and Randy Pimsler. She was predeceased by her husband Murray, son Ronald E., and brothers Shlomo and Arnold Krieger. Graveside funeral services will be on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at 12 noon at the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, Wolcott Rd., East Granby. Visitation will follow the service at her son’s home, 16 Stoneham Drive, West Hartford 06117. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kaizer Family Endowment Fund of the Emanuel Synagogue, 160 Mohegan Dr., West Hartford 06117, or the Connecticut State Dental Association Mission of Mercy, 835 West Queen St. Southington 06489. Arrangements are entrusted to Weinstein Mortuary, Hartford. For further information, directions, or to sign the guestbook for Gert, please visit online at www.weinsteinmortuary.com.
