Beatrice Schwolsky Hoffman
Beatrice Hoffman of West Hartford, beloved daughter of the late Benjamin and Hattie (Ziskin) Schwolsky, beloved wife of the late Jack Hoffman and beloved sister of the late Faye Schwolsky, died Sunday morning at the age of 88 at the Hebrew Home and Hospital. She was active in the American Jewish Congress, the Sisterhood of the Emanuel Synagogue, Hadassah and the Association of Jewish Nurses. She was passionate about the game of bridge and played enthusiastically with her many friends until the last month of her life. Friends and family were always welcome at her home of 45 years on Ballard Drive in West Hartford. She is survived by her sister, Helen Feingold of Scottsdale, AZ; four children: Harriet Hoffman of San Francisco, CA; Daniel Hoffman and his wife Lisa of San Diego, CA; Joshua Hoffman and his wife Ruth of Greensboro, NC; and Susan Hoffman Fishman and her husband Robert Fishman of West Hartford; eight beloved grandchildren: Jonathan Hoffman and his wife Tracey; Deb Hoffman and her partner Lisa Tilis; Noah Hoffman and his wife Karen, Betsy Crimmins; David Hoffman, Amy Hoffman, Benjamin Fishman and Gabriel Fishman; three great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
