Cypra 'Cippy' (Naparstek) Alaimo
Cypra (Naparstek) Alaimo of South Windsor, CT, passed away on July 6, 2017. Cypra was the daughter of the late Adolph and Ruth (Fischer) Naparstek. She was born on December 21, 1942 in Hartford, CT. She graduated from Weaver High School and attended the University of CT.

She was a strict celebrant of the Jewish Faith and kept all of the holidays throughout the year. As much as she enjoyed her own ethnic diet, she was in love with pasta and many Italian dishes. This was evident in the several trips we made to Italy, eating our way from the Italian Riviera to the Island of Sicily. Cypra and Ben also enjoyed traveling throughout Canada and the United States visiting many major cities and National Parks.

Cypra was employed by the Dept. of Social Services for 31 years as an Administrative Assistant and was retired for 20 years. Following her retirement, they purchased a Condo in Fort Myers Beach, FL and spent every winter of her retirement in Florida walking the beach, shelling, tropical bird watching and viewing the Dolphins breaking surf were her favorite pastimes. She was an avid reader of novels and loved shopping for clothes. Cypra ‘Cippy’ had many great friends with whom she spoke to on a near daily basis. Her longest cherished friendship goes back to childhood with Barbara Spivak, up to this date many social activities were shared with Barbara and Art (holiday dinners, religious celebrations, travel and dining out). The family is forever grateful for their support.

Judith Spazzarini and Cypra had enjoyed a similar relationship for over 30 years. Along with being together in CT, they also shared winters together at Ft. Myers Beach. Judy and Anthony also treated us like family inviting us to participate in family celebrations and social get togethers. Thank you.

A thank you to all the friends and family who have been part of her life in the past and for the difficult times recently shared.

A thank you to the nurses of the Wethersfield medical facility who made our visits comfortable.

A thank you to Patricia DeFusco, M.D., who time after time conquered year after year what appeared to be insurmountable.

Lastly thanks to the Hope and Hospice team of the Hartford Health Care at Home for their devotion and dedication in extending care and comfort.

Cypra is survived by her loving husband, Benjamin M. Alaimo, her sister-in-law, Muriel Naparstek, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Carmen and Stephen Locke, brother-in-law, Matthew J.
