Howard Leonard Reuben
Howard Leonard Reuben, D.M.D. passed away on June 17, 2015 at Hartford Hospital. Committed to his family and friends, he was a man of deep integrity and quiet humility. Born in Hartford in 1927, son of Sadye Aaron Reuben and David N. Reuben, he earned his B.A. from the University of Connecticut and his D.M.D from Temple University. He was a World War II veteran. In addition to practicing endodontics in the Greater Hartford area, Dr. Reuben was committed to giving back to his profession. While maintaining his own practice, for 30 years he served on the faculty at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He also served on the staff at St. Francis Hospital Department of Dentistry in Harford. He was a member of the American Dental Association and Connecticut State Dental Association. He was a member and diplomate of the American Association of Endodontics and Alpha Omega dental fraternity. He was a member of the American Legion. He was an amateur radio operator extra class, AJIK. He was an avid pilot holding both multi-engine and instrument ratings.

Dr. Reuben leaves his wife Maryann Nicholas Reuben; his son Daniel and his wife Christy of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and their twin daughters Grace and Sophie; and his daughter Amy and her husband John Calvert of Woodland Hills, CA, and their son Quinn and daughters Kathryn and Emma. He also leaves a sister Barbara and her husband Ira Levin of West Hartford.

A private burial is scheduled.
