Lenore Miller Kaiden
Lenore (Miller) Kaiden, 76 years of age, of Avon, CT, died peacefully on Thursday, May 21, 2015, with her husband and her daughters by her side. Lenore was born on October 20, 1938 in New York, NY, to the late Jack and Helen (Wengrovsky) Miller. She married Jerry (Gerald) Kaiden in 1959 and lived in New York until 1965. After 11 years in Wayne, New Jersey, Lenore and her family moved to Trumbull, CT. Then, in 2000, she and her husband moved to Avon, CT, to be closer to her grandchildren.

Lenore was always active in the communities in which she lived, supporting the schools her daughters attended and her synagogue. She was proud to graduate from Housatonic Community College with her Associates degree and to work as an office manager and bookkeeper. Lenore enjoyed reading, knitting and cooking. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and, especially, her beloved grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Lenore leavers her two daughters, Cheryl Ann Kaiden and her husband Michael Calter of Branford, and Deborah Kaiden Donahue and her husband John of Simsbury; and her grandchildren, Shaina and Gabrielle Ostrov; and her step-grandchildren, Carlie Shea and Jack Donahue.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the Farmington Valley Jewish Congregation-Emek Shalom Memorial Park, 46 Mountainview Ave., Avon. Following the interment the family will receive relatives and friends at 29 Musket Trail, Simsbury, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice.
