Beatrice Miller Gordon
GORDON, Beatrice (Miller), 87 years of age, of Dalewood Rd., Newington, died Thursday, August 14, 2014 at home. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late David and Leah (Strachman) Miller. She was a graduate of Hartford High School. She was a retired Library Aide for the Newington Public School System as well as a bookkeeper for the Cedar Mountain Florist in Newington. She and her husband Joe were founding members of Temple Sinai in Newington. She was the beloved wife for 60 years of Joe R. Gordon; devoted mother of LeAnn G. Beaulieu and her husband H. Neil Beaulieu of Enfield, and David A. Gordon and his wife Danuta M. Gordon of Glastonbury; cherished grandfather of Michele and Tom Vaughan, Allison Beaulieu, Neil and Cliona Beaulieu, Seth and Amy Beaulieu, Aaron and Lauren Gordon, Scott and Manda Beaulieu, and Dana and Jennifer Gordon. She was also the loving great-grandmother of Max, Danielle, Connor, Benjamin, Ciara, Cian, Caleb, Lucas, Evelyn, Liam, Jonah, Lena and Logan. In addition she leaves several cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 17, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Sanctuary of Temple Sinai, 41 West Hartford Rd., Newington with Rabbi Jeffrey Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Sinai Memorial Park, on the Temple grounds. A memorial period will be observed at her home Sunday following the funeral until 6 PM and Monday, August 18th from 2-6 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund at Temple Sinai, 41 West Hartford Rd., Newington 06111.
