Adolf 'Al' Kadden
Adolf ‘Al’ Kadden, 97, of Boynton Beach, FL and West Hartford, CT, died Friday, March 21, 2014. He was the husband of the late Frieda (Wasserman) Kadden. Born in Germany, he was the youngest of five children of the late Salomon and Malchen (Goldshmid) Kadden. He served in the US Army during World War II. A skilled and enthusiastic salesman who always had a joke to tell, Al owned Victor Manufacturing Co. in West Hartford, a wholesale plumbing and heating supply company. After he sold it, he worked as a salesman for the Ray Murray Company until he retired at 83. He was a member of Congregation B’nai Tikvoh- Sholom of Bloomfield, where he was a past president.

His family was his greatest joy, and he was always eager to help a friend or relative in need.

He leaves two sons, Jack Kadden and his wife Ellen of Fairfield, and Ralph Kadden and his wife Louise of West Hartford; his sister, Gerda Lion of West Hartford; his companion, Paula Goldberg of Boynton Beach, Fl. and West Hartford; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 24, 2014, in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi James Rosen officiating. Interment will follow in Congregation Tikvoh Chadoshoh Cemetery, Club House Rd., Windsor. Shiva will be observed Monday following the interment through Sunday at his home, 327 Fern St., West Hartford, CT.
