Abraham (Abe) Moses Ruzensky
Abraham Moses (Abe) Ruzensky, 94, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday (July 21, 2013). Born in Hartford, son of the late Joseph and Rose Ruzensky, Abe lived in the greater Hartford area his entire life until moving to Palm Beach Gardens, FL in 2009 to be near his son, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He graduated from Weaver High School in Hartford, Class of 1936. He is survived by his son, Steve Ruzensky of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. He was the proud grandfather of Rob Ruzensky of Simsbury and Jodi Greene and her husband Sean of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. He also leaves behind four treasured great-grandchildren, Joshua and Lexi Greene and Naisha and Jacob Ruzensky along with his former daughter-in-law Jacqi Roseman. Other family members include Sandy and Gerald Goldberg and David and Jody Chozick. He was a very proud Navy Veteran serving our country during World War II. He was co-owner of The Charter Oak Market in Hartford for sixty years. After selling the business, he worked for Security CT Insurance Company in Avon and at The Big Y Supermarket in Avon until the age of 90. His favorite pastime was going to the race track and he was an avid fan of the NY Yankees. He will be missed by all of those he touched in his 94 years. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 25th at 9:30am in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with interment in The Piaterer Verein Society Cemetary, Jordan Lane Ext., Wethersfield.
