Eather (Rosenberg) Davidson
Esther Davidson, age 89, of 1 Abrahms Blvd., West Hartford, died Friday, (April 16, 2010) after a long illness. Born in Hartford on October 8, 1920, Esther was predeceased by her parents, Benjamin and Anna Rosenberg; and by her loving husband, Joseph Davidson; daughter, Sandra Teichman; sister, Edith Chaiklin; and brother, Max Rosenberg. Esther's greatest joy was loving and nurturing her family. A life long resident of the Hartford area, Esther was a graduate of Weaver High School and spent most of her professional life as an executive assistant for the Hartford Jewish Federation, Emanuel Synagogue and the West Hartford Fire Department. Esther was an active member of the United Order of True Sisters and Hadassah. Esther is survived by her son, Alan Davidson and his wife Risa of West Hartford and her son, Darrell Davidson of Parkville, MD; son-in-law, Marc Teichman; grandchildren, Lori Ross, Adam Teichman, Breanne Davidson, Mike Davidson, Darek Davidson, Matthew Davidson; as well as four great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 12 p.m. at Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford. For directions or to share memories of Esther visit www.weinsteinmortuary.com.
