Joseph "Erjin" Hainog Wu
Joseph "Erjin" Hainog Wu, 8-months, of West Hartford, CT passed away on September 3, 2009 at Connecticut Children's Medical Center. Joseph was named after his maternal great-grandfather, "Poppy Joe" Friedman, who if he were here, would have plotzed and kevelled over this sweet little boy. Joseph will buried alongside his "Poppy Joe".

Joseph was born December 13, 2008 to Danielle Melito Wu and Boa Chuan Wu. According to the custom of his father's village in Anhui Province, China, children are often named after their birth weight. Joseph's nickname, Erjin, means two-pounds. Joseph was much beloved by his parents his sister, his grandparents and aunts and uncles. His sister, Shoshana Haiwan, especially knew how to make him smile and comfort him. He loved to play with his toy giraffe and monkey and watch his mobile go around. He loved being held and enjoyed his stories and music.

In addition, Joseph is survived by his great grand father, Pat Melito, grandparents, Cookie and Tony Melito, Suzhen Li, Uncle David Melito and hundreds of aunts, uncles and cousins in China and the USA.

Joseph's mom would like to thank him for teaching her the meaning of life.

The family would like express their gratitude for the wonderful and tender care provided by the staff at ST Francis Hospital NICU and CCMC PICU. Donations in Josephs memory may be made to the aforementioned departments or the March of Dimes.

A graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford, CT on Sunday, September 6th at 10 AM. Shiva will be observed at the Wu familys home through the following Saturday evening.
