Julia (Kaskowitz) Ziff
Julia (Kaskowitz) Ziff, 102, widow Samuel Ziff, died Tuesday (August 25, 2009). She was a member of the Hebrew Home and Hospital, an active volunteer at the Jewish Community Center and Brittany Farms Convalescent Home, and was a member of the Choraleers at the Jewish Community Center for many years, was also a member of Center Stage at the Jewish Community Center. She is survived by a son, George Ziff and his wife Dolores of Watertown; a daughter, Roberta Bitel and her husband Robert of Plainville; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday, 11 a.m. at the Beth Hillel Synagogue Cemetery, Wolcott Rd., East Granby. A memorial period will be observed at the home of her daughter, 38 Fleetwood Rd., Plainville through Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to The Hebrew Home and Hospital Nursing Enrichment Fund, 1 Abrahms Blvd., West Hartford.
