Deborah Leah (Wilder) Mitrani
MITRANI, Deborah Leah (Wilder) Mitrani, of Ancramdale, NY, widow of Aaron Mitrani, died Tuesday, February 13, 2007 in Tucson, AZ. Born January 7, 1926 in Miami Beach, FL, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Nettie (Korshinsky) Wilder. She was raised in Brooklyn, NY, attended Thomas Jefferson High School, and graduated from Hunter College. Deborah was a teacher, first for home bound schooling in New York and later in the public school system where she lived. Her home was always filled with music: her passion opera. For many years she presented theme based opera programs from her home using videos and tapes from her extensive music collection. She also volunteered at Camp Bronx House Emanuel in Copake, NY where her husband was Camp Director; and very active in CAL (Catskill Art League) which provided access to the many cultural events in her area.She leaves her children: Andrea Bumpurs and her husband Carl of Racine, WI, Trudy Rucker and her husband William Gietz of San Raphael, CA, Sherry Rucker of Ancramdale, NY; adored grandchildren: Francesca Bumpurs of Racine, WI, Seth Bumpurs and his wife Dana Winters of Portland, OR, Noah Rucker-Triplett of Lotus, CA, Dayna Rucker of Donellen, NJ; great grandson Cyrus Zane Bumpurs; sister Lee Sydell Lapuk and her husband Robert of West Hartford; brother Karl T. Wilder and his wife Cecile of Mendham, NJ and Tucson, AZ; and many many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2007 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Ilana Garber officiating. Interment will follow in the Beth El Temple Cemetery, Avon. A memorial period will be observed at the home of her sister, Lee Lapuk, 30 Cascade Rd., West Hartford, Sunday following the funeral through Tuesday evening.
