William M. Ellis
William M. Ellis, of Davenport Rd., West Hartford, husband of Bernice (Lutin) Ellis, died Monday, December 18, 2006. Born in Hartford he was the son of the late David and Ethel (Moss) Ellis. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a Certified Public Accountant and taught at Central Connecticut State University as an Accounting Professor for many years. Bill was a founding member of Temple Sinai, Newington, and a member of the Connecticut Society of CPAs. Besides his wife, he leaves a son: Steven Ellis of Rocklin, CA; three daughters: Marcie Ellis of New Britain, Cathy Ellis of Medfield, MA, and Laurie Ellis of Arlington, MA. He also leaves four grandchildren: Sarah and Josh Tobin, Jennifer and Katelyn Ellis; a great grandson Jonathan; and a brother Arthur Ellis of Farmington. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Jeffrey Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, East Granby, CT. A Memorial Period will be observed at his home, 66 Davenport Rd., West Hartford through Friday afternoon.
