Message: I have known Alan Kaufman since 1975. I was 7 or 8 years old. He has been a warm, generous, and important part of my life ever since then. He has been my dad's partner, my employer, my business partner, and my friend. I truly loved him. I cannot think of an important moment in my life in which Alan didn't take the time to express his happiness for me. He hired me for my first adult job, he loaned me a car when mine broke down, he was at my wedding, he attended my daughter's baptism, he bought my washer and dryer when I bought my first home, and he also consoled me when I lost my dad. I may not be a Kaufman, but he was my family. My thoughts go out to Roberta, Todd, and John and their families. He was a great man and leaves a wonderful legacy of warmth, love, and kindness. He will be greatly missed.
