Message: The late Sholom Bloom, Edythe's husband, was my (Gordon's) teacher at Temple Beth Israel, weekday Hebrew class, over 50 yrs ago. At sundown, near end of class, he would lead us in Hebrew version of Day is Done, as sun set in classroom window! Also noted, Edythe was Phi Beta Kappa at Penn State. Both he and sge were a highly qualified social workers. Best wishes to all the Bloom family descendants!! Gordon & Lila, Hamden CT

Message: Edythe was a treasured friend for many years, having served together on the staff of South Catholic High School. After the school closed, many of the staff lost all touch, but Edythe and I remained friends. Judy, I'll never forget the wonderful celebration of her 90th birthday. I was so honored to be invited. I am going to miss our frequent phone calls. Edythe and I shared views of so may issues. My deepest sympathy to you and your daughters. Loretta Dyson

Message: As I would leave, I would say,"I'll see you again." She would answer, "I know you will!" Edythe, I will miss our lively conversation about the news. I will miss our critiques of the movies we watched. After great anticipation "NORMAN" finally arrived. We looked at each other and went "Meh"! The travel channel and The Curse of Oak Island. As I watch the new season next week, I think you might be here too! We did a lot of laughing. Our commonality made it easy. I will remember the gift you gave me, your friendship. Our brief time together will always remain in my heart. Thank you! I'll be seeing you Edythe!
