Message: Deepest Sympathy and Condolences to the family and friends. Mike was an amazing man, I knew him through the comedy world; when I was hospitalized in New Haven following a horrific car accident, Mike visited me weekly, brought dumplings from the street carts, good coffee and would regale me with the goings on in the outside world. Truly a Mensch!

Message: Candy: Val and I extend to you our deepest condolences on this untimely passing of Mike. I knew him for 30 years, both as an Advest client and witness; friend and informal financial adviser. We spent lots of time together preparing for Advest arbitration hearings and he was great fun to be with. He was a wonderful, gregarious person who always saw the best in other people. He did indeed keep me laughing whenever I saw him. I regret I didn't see him more in the last few years. I am sad but also happy that Mike was able to do his comedy career later in life, because I know it brought him great joy and happiness.

Message: To The Family of Mike Jacobs, So sorry for your loss. My sincere condolences. The last time I saw Mike was five years ago, just before Marie and I relocated to "The Cape". We spoke on the phone quite often. When ever we spoke we would always talk about the "Old Neighborhood" and the kids we came up with. We have all come along way from Blue Hills Ave. but we never have forgotten from where we came from. It seems like yesterday. Mike was there for Fred and I when we lost our beloved brother Larry (the monk), we appreciated his reaching out to us and his compassion. He was a great guy and boy could he tell a funny story! Well old buddy, rest in peace. I will miss you. BARUCH ASHEM Bruce Jainchill

Message: I hired Jake in 1974 at Advest and we've been best buddies ever since. We hit it off immediately and became the brothers we never had. I'm still having trouble believing he's gone. I had surgery 10 weeks ago and he called me every week to see how I was doing - that's how thoughtful and caring of a friend he was to all who knew him. My thoughts and prayers go out to Candy, Jillian, Aly and all of his family and all of his friends that were lucky enough to share some laughs with him.

Message: It is with a very heavy hand that I write on behalf of the entire SIFMA Foundation team to express our deepest sympathies on Mike’s passing. Mike was a true champion of financial education, serving as one of our star volunteers over many years. Our entire team had the pleasure of getting to know and work with Mike. He supported more teachers, students and activities than can even be counted. And was frequently asked for encore performances. His humanity, humility and humor had more impact than you can imagine on all of us. He spoke of his family often and with great pride. I will miss his photos and texts in particular. Here is to a remarkable man, father, colleague and friend. A donation is being made in his honor to Red Nose Day. With sadness, Michelle
