Message: Kathy was a member of our Farmington Valley Friday Weavers' Group. Always fun to see her, to see her show and tell and her "anyone want this" bag! She was also my roommate at Camp Washington when we went to our Weaver's Retreat weekends. Sadly she had missed the last few. Kathy was a fun lady to know, always gracious, always giving and I along with our little Friday group will miss her. Joie

Message: I dearly loved Kathy. I always told her that she was the 'coolest' person I know. I worked with Kathy at the Weaving Center. She had endless creativity and enthusiasm. Kathy was ageless -- Relating to everyone on every level. She was fierce too. Kathy jumped right in and got excited by every new project she encountered. Always up for learning and exploring a new technique, Kathy dove into everything with excellence. What a phenomenal and powerful force she was! I will miss her so much! I aspire to be just like her.

Message: My sister Dorian, who was unfortunately killed in a car accident in 2009, was a dear friend of Kathy's having also attended Wellesley in the class of '55. And so, Kathy was, for many years, very much like family-a family that also included Benjie. In 1945, my dad bought a home on Prospect Ave. in Hartford and finished a part of the basement as a recreation room. It had sort of a built in bar (not sure why) and Kathy volunteered to decorate the front panel as she was the most artistic person Dorian knew. Along with art, Kathy painted "when the wine goes in, the truth comes out." I never forgot Kathy or that saying after that. She was one of my sister's nicest friends and I truly appreciated that over the years, she was so friendly to me--so smart and caring. I will really miss her and am very sorry I had not seen her in many years. To her family, I extend my deepest sympathies.
