Message: Rhoda took care of me when I was a dental student at UCHC, pregnant with m6y first child. Her practical attitude and matter of fact sympathy were very welcome and very helpful. Her warm smile always earned an equally warm response. My thanks for her care that I still remember many, many years later. May her memory be for a blessing.

Message: So much of my childhood was spent in the Feinstein home that I still feel as if the Feinstein family is my family. Rhoda demonstrated her loyalty to the Aaron family not only hosting meals and overnights but with the bedside nursing care she provided for Ethel and Debbie for many in-hospital days and nights. We will miss her.

Message: Rhoda was Chair of Federation 's Women's Division. I remember when Judy Rosenthal and I recruited Rhoda for this position and she was stunned! " why me ?" This was an example of Rhoda's humility and honesty. She was a gem and a dear friend and gave of herself so generously . Rhoda was also a perfect foil to her beloved Arthur- a calm to his curmudgeon. She was driven by values and a clear sense of the Jewish world. She will be missed. Cindy and Jay

Message: My daughters, Erica and Yohanna Willheim and I were truly sorry not to be able to drive to Hartford for Rhoda's funeral today, and we send our love and heartfelt condolences to Andy, Carol and Nancy. Rhoda was a relative of my nother Micki Savin, as they were both descended from Ruchel and Michael Slossberg who arrived in Norwich in the 1880's from Svensiony in Lithuania. For years we went to Rhoda and Arthur's for Pesach, and we have wonderful memories of those evenings. Although I can remember Rhoda as having very strong opinions, she possessed a great joyous zest for life, and it was always a treat to be in her company. What I remember above all else, though, is that Rhoda and Arthur were part of the coteries of West Hartford Jewish couples who wanted the Emanuel Synagogue to open a West Hartford branch in the 1950's, alas, to no avail. Along with my parents, Isadore and Micki Savin, The breakaway group included the Feinsteins, Leon and Ethel Sondik, Arthur and Pearl Weinstein, Gil and Ann Kaplan, Helen and Lou Chernoff, Harry and Ruth Kleinman, and perhaps some others that I cannot remember. I do recall clearly the night they all sat around our dining room table to discuss whether or not to hire Rabbi Stanley Kessler! Of course they made the right decision! Rhoda and Arthur were both intelligent, vigorous members of the Jewish community and have left a exemplary legacy for us all.
