Message: My deepest sympathy to Daryl, Marcy and their families in the loss of Shirley. Shirley and I developed a unique, yet close friendship over this past year. I often played the role of Morgan Freeman to her Jessica Lange (Driving Miss Daisy). She was one of the feistiest people that I have ever known. Above all else, she was caring, passionate about her causes and and genuine. I will surely miss her. Susan Rubin

Message: My deepest sympathy to the Juran and Rosenthal family. Shirley and Leo lived down the street from the Wises, and we spent many happy times in the neighborhood (mostly next door and across the street).

Message: Shirley was an amazing woman. She was a kind, caring, decent woman. She and Leo took over grandparent duties at Temple Beth Shalom because our parents lived out of town. We were supposed to have breakfast and things kept getting in the way. I'm sorry we didn't get to go but I'm very glad I got to know her. Our deepest sympathy to her family. Sincerely, Linda and Bob Segall

Message: Sorry for your loss of a feisty lady. I have many memories of everything your Mom and Dad taught me at Fairway from the age of 16. I still use one of his famous quotes about employees who don't want to work and have to keep all my paper money going in the right direction and separated low to high!! Your Mom & Dad made sure to always stop and visit my Mom right up to her leaving us. I am sure you have many lovely memories that will keep you company. Fran Paggioli Lefavour
