Message: My life was touched by Mark and his amazing family. Sue and Max, Millie and Harold. Their sense of humor and warmth was one of a kind. Max is blessed to have had such a loving and proud father. I'll always remember how welcoming and happy he was every time I saw him. His smile lit up the room. He will be missed and thought of often. May God bring his entire family comfort and peace. With deepest sympathy, Sossi Derian

Message: Rest in Peace, Mark. I remember that happy smile, always, and how very kind Mark was to me many years ago after I'd had surgery, and needed to go to a gym (something I knew nothing about). He helped me learn how to do the exercises and encouraged me (and even collected me at a ghastly early hour when I wasn't interested). His kindness and concern were and are remembered and deeply appreciated.

Message: I am sibling to a resident veteran at Rocky Hill campus. I met Mark seven years ago > comrade of my brother. My brother Tom Zima continues to be in recovery living in Rocky Hill VA. They served our country with honor and suffered addictions as a result. It is with great honor I "salute" you Mark for serving your country. It is with great sadness we have lost this wonderful man. To his family I share the pride and love of Mark. May each of you find comfort in unity and love. RIP Mark sincerely.........Janet Steben

Message: Dear Friends, We are so sorry for your loss of Mark, especially at such a young age. We got to know him when we did the monthly bingo at Rocky Hill with the Jewish War Veterans, and he called the numbers. He was so attentive to the residents there, and helped make their time easier and more fun. We are proud of his service to our country, and will miss his ever-smiling face and always cheerful attitude.
