Message: Dear Libby and Family, We are so very saddened by the passing of Bennett. He was a true mensch, and an inspiration to all he knew at CBI. We'll always remember his warm smile, strong handshake, and constant promotion of the Legacy program at Beth Israel. He was a gentle and kind man who will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May his memory be a blessing, and may he rest in peace.

Message: My deepest sympathies to Libby and the family. We have truly lost a "mensch". In addition to his dedicated work for Legacy for Our Future I was surprised to read about his volunteering as a tutor at the Rawson School in Hartford. I hope that your memories of the good times with Bennett will help you through this difficult period. Charlotte

Message: I grew up in the house next door and have very pleasant memories of Mr. Pearl and my Dad talking and laughing at the fence as neighbors often do while tending their lawns and such typical activities. I always thought he was a very pleasant man, very kind and I enjoyed his voice and laughter. It's funny the little things that we remember that were a comfort to us a children like our kind neighbors. He always called me Jimmy and had a kind word. I am truly saddened to hear of his passing. He was a man of sterling character in a world with far too few such men. The world is that much poorer in light of his passing. He will be missed.

Message: Libby, David, Sherrie, and Elaine: I have such fond memories of Bennett. He was so kind, generous, and funny. His friendship was so important to my Dad (and my Mom, of course, but the friendship with my father started first) for most of his life, and truly through thick and thin. I loved hearing his stories and his memory really is a blessing. Love and deepest condolences to you all.

Message: Bennett, Billy Graham and I used to walk home from the Rawson School along Cornwall daily , as far as Tower Avenue, where we split ways. It was a habit we cultivated with great pleasure. My deepest condolences go out to his family whom I never knew since I left for Israel not long after leaving college. Sincerely, Tybe Bloom
