Message: My condolences to the whole family. Phyllis was my 1st grade teacher and she rapidly became friends with my parents (Harold and May Moses) and our whole family. (I remember Gale and Seth both babysat my sister and me.) We called her "Aunt Phyllis." A teacher's legacy lives on forever; her influence has a huge ripple effect. Phyllis taught so many children to read--what a wonderful gift. We are thinking of you at this time.

Message: I worked with Phyllis at Annie Fisher School as her "chosen" paraprofessional for several years. She encouraged me to continue my education and happily I became a teacher using some of the talents taught by Phyllis. She believed that every child had the ability to learn and be the best they could be. She presented the best musical productions for the school starring her first graders. She taught the children what diversity meant celebrating all of the holidays in her classroom. Her humor, listening, generosity, knowledge, and mentoring reflected her goodness within. She was a master teacher, not only of first graders, but young and old alike!! My family, as well as myself, will remember her with fondness! Special blessings to Gale and Seth!
