Message: Helen was the First Lady of Hebrew Health Care. I will miss her direct style, genuine caring and time we spent kibbitzing in the coffee shop. I will save my special story for tomorrow's service.

Message: Helen Horovitz is very precious to me, most of all for the way she brought joy and curiosity and caring to every conversation, and we talked almost every day while I worked at Hebrew Health Care, but also because of her link to my mother, with whom she had attended Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn in the mid-1930s. She was a wonderful friend to so many, and I will always miss her.
